Mi opinión sobre el nuevo disco de Judas Priest - Nostradamus

Aprovechando que no voy a estar unos dias por presenciar el Firefest V, voy a dar mi visión sobre el último disco de Judas Priest.

No puedo dejar de lado mi opinión sobre este disco, hacía mucho tiempo que quería dar mi punto de vista y quería hacerlo pasados unos meses desde su edición. Judas Priest es un grupo por el que siento un respeto muy grande del que soy fan acérrimo y del cual me puedo considerar coleccionista, razón por la cual no he dejado de gastarme mis 14 euros en un disco doble y de larga duración sabiendo de antemano lo que me iba a encontrar. La verdad es que la vuelta de Rob Halford con Judas Priest y la edición de “Angel of retribution” fue una gran noticia para el mundo del rock, la gira no tanto con subidas y bajadas pero tuvo un gran acierto, el disco era sin duda un buen disco y recordaba a los Priest más inspirados. Pero ahora nos vienen con un disco conceptual, algo a lo que el mismo Tipton a mitad de los ochenta se manifestó totalmente en contra, aunque dejemos esto de lado, todo el mundo tiene su momento para rectificar y “Nostradamus” es lo que la banda en su conjunto querían y se han visto encaminados a crear. Desde mi punto de vista este disco es el disco que nunca hubieran tenido que hacer, no negaré que tiene algún momento bueno, pero en general es bastante detestable, y me extraña que lo hayan echo ellos que siempre tuvieron la idea del Heavy Metal como algo fresco, directo y sin añadiduras innecesarias y es que para ellos no es aceptable un disco de estas características, estaba claro que no tendríamos un “Defenders of the faith” u otro “Sad wings of destiny”, pero pensaba que el camino a seguir seria otro. “Nostradamus” es el disco que nunca hubiera que haberse editado, si bien en un momento dado “Turbo” o “Ram it down” son discos que tienen temas un tanto flojos, aquí casi todo lo que han hecho Tipton/Downing y Halford es la peor representación del buen gusto por el metal, claro que los habrá que les gusten esas orquestaciones que han quedado bien pero no es lo que Judas Priest significa, eso puede quedar bien para otra banda, y en estos momentos pienso en algunas bandas de metal que no quiero mencionar, Uff!. No creo que con el tiempo cambie mi opinión con este disco y es que si he de decantarme por el peor disco con diferencia de Judas Priest es este sin dudarlo, incluso la etapa con Ripper Owens en que no se puede considerar totalmente como Judas Priest tiene mejores canciones e ideas que con este desperdicio que ha significado la edición a bombo y platillo de “Nostradamus”, a pesar de todo y pensando que no son lo mismo en directo en la actualidad no voy a desperdiciar ninguna ocasión de ver a una de mis bandas favoritas aunque hayan confeccionado un disco tan aburrido y flojo como este.

I can not put aside my opinion on this disk, long I wanted to give my point of view and I wanted to do after a few months since its publication. Judas Priest is a group for which I feel a great respect of which I am a staunch fan and of which I can consider collector, which is why I have not stopped spending my 14 euros in a double disc and long-term knowing in advance what I was going to find. The truth is that the return of Rob Halford with Judas Priest and the edition of "Angel of Retribution" was big news for the world of rock, the tour not so much with ups and downs but it was a great success, the disc was no doubt a good record and reminding the Priest more inspired. But now we come with a conceptual album, something that the same Tipton mid-eighties there was totally against it, but let us leave this aside, everyone has the time to rectify and "Nostradamus" is what the band as a whole wanted and have been designed to create. From my point of view, this record is the record that never had to do, do not deny that you have a good time, but in general is quite abhorrent, and I am surprised that echo what they have always had the idea of something like Heavy Metal fresh, direct and without unnecessary additions, and that is not acceptable for them to a disc of this kind, it was clear that there would be a "Defenders of the faith" or "Sad wings of destiny", but thought that the way forward would be another. "Nostradamus" is the record that it had never been published, although at one point "Turbo" or "Ram it down" are discs that are somewhat loose themes here almost everything they have done Tipton / Downing and Halford is the worst representation of good taste for the metal, there will be clear that they like these orchestrations that have been well but is not what Judas Priest mean, this may be good for another band, and now I think of some metal bands I do not want to mention, Yahoo!. I do not think that with time change my mind and with this album is that if I prefer by far the worst album of Judas Priest is this without hesitation, even the stage with Ripper Owens that can not be considered as totally Judas Priest has best music and ideas that this waste has meant that the edition to fanfare of "Nostradamus", in spite of everything and thinking that they are not the same thing live in today I will not miss any opportunity of seeing one of my Favorite bands even though they have compiled a record so boring and loose like this.
