La sesión del domingo empezó muy bien con los ingleses Burn, tras ellos el que es ahora vocalista de la banda Pink Cream 69, que el día antes ya había tocado, David Readman nos demostró que su auténtica validez es a la hora de ofrecer material más melódico que en su banda principal, muy bien esta vez por David. Los suecos H.e.a.t, pese a no tener el vocalista habitual se salieron muy bien con la ayuda de un par de amigos de bandas como Eclipse y Firetribe, impactante la versión del “Separate ways” y muy buenos los temas propios. También de Los Ángeles, los reunificados para este show Rox Diamond mostraron su buen hacer en un show muy emotivo y 100% profesional como si nunca
hubieran dejado los escenarios, impactantes. También Mitch Malloy era un tipo con el cual tenia algunas reticencias, pienso que salió de New Jersey cuando sin ser muy rockero se intentó colar como clon de Jovi en los ochenta, pero he de rectificar rápidamente mi error, el tipo está que se sale, tiene un nivel brutal y es un rockero 100%, pudiendo competir con cualquiera encima de las tablas, tiene gancho, presencia y resulta emocionante escuchar de su voz “Anything at all”. Los Angelinos White Spirit también habían decidió juntarse para la ocasión, la verdad es que no se quien se lo pasó mejor si ellos o el público, lo cierto es que tuvieron una gran acogida para su particular Aor ochentero. La antigua banda de Steve Augeri ha sido el instrumento para que el que fuera vocalista de Journey vuelva a los escenarios de forma tímida, hizo un buen concierto pero le falta que cree más canciones propias para tener el nivel que todos deseamos. La actuación de Danger Danger fue realmente espectacular, ya nos tienen habituados a grandes directos y esto confirma que la banda debe seguir tocando tras su reunión, y por lo que dijeron el próximo año van a editar disco, al menos en
directo son realmente eficaces. El final del festival estaba reservado para Firehouse, una banda de Carolina del norte que tuvo cierta repercusión a principios de los noventa pero como muchas bandas no pasaron a ser mucho más sobretodo porque surgieron en un momento difícil para este tipo de música, su reunificación ha sido correcta, aunque pienso que no eran la banda más adecuada para cerrar el festival, fue emocionante escuchar “Don’t treat on me”. Tras Firehouse salieron algunos de los organizadores del festival para dar las gracias al público ya que en principio el el último Firefest, pero en realidad lo llevan
diciendo desde que lo hicieron por primera vez, un placer...
